Youth and Teen Volunteering

Teen Jump Photo

The reasons for young people to volunteer are more than we can list! Studies suggest that youth and teens who volunteer have more opportunities to develop their social and professional skills, are more likely to make healthy lifestyle choices later in life, and 19% more likely to graduate high school than their peers who are not active in community service. So lets get active! There are many ways listed below for volunteers ages 10-17 to participate. Please check back frequently as we are constantly updating.

Group Opportunities and Trainings

Would your youth group like to participate in a community service project? Hands On Greenville is happy to help groups of all sizes find a volunteer opportunity that is right for them. Need someone to speak to your group about volunteerism and getting involved? Please email info@handsongreenville.org for either of these needs.

Service To Go

"Service To Go" projects can be completed at home by children and youth of all ages. Service to Go is intended to provide ideas but your options don't stop here- if you find another area need you would like to create as a Service to Go Project, email info@handsongreenville.org for it to be featured on the list of option.

Past projects include Placemats for Seniors, and "Adopt Me!" Bandanas

To participate, simply click on one of the projects, print the directions and complete the project. Once completed, you're welcome to turn in the project to a local organization you feel would benefit from the items or contact Hands On Greenville for suggestions.
